Options
Tolex and Grill Cloth
| As many of my customers request
coverings to match their existing amplifiers, there are approximately 40
different styles of tolex available on Shawnee cabinets. The majority of the
familiar levant, bronco, nubtex, and smooth grain styles and colors are
available at no extra charge. Some specialty colors and styles are available for a reasonable extra charge which simply
reflects their limited availability and higher price for me to acquire. |
| Grill cloth is also available
in approximately 40 styles, most of which are available at no additional cost.
Vox brown diamond cloth has been popular but does have a small upcharge. If you know what
you’re looking for, just ask- and if you don’t, I’d be happy to throw out some
recommendations. |
| Piping is also available in a wide variety of colors, but I find that white, silver sparkle and gold sparkle
usually look the best. |
Speakers and Wiring
Weber offers an astounding variety of speakers. I have not heard one
yet that I didn't like. Some of the more common choices are Blue
Dogs/Pups, Silver Bells/Tens, 10A100's, 12A150's, 12F150's, 1230's, Michigans, and Californias. See the
WeberVST website for more details on their offerings.
| All Celestion speakers, including the new Heritage series,
are available on an order by order basis. Ditto for Eminences. I
do not recommend the new Jensen speakers. If you are looking for some
vintage Jensens on the other hand, I'd be happy to help track some down for
you! |
| All cabinets come standard with dual jacks, wired in 8 or
16 ohm mono with parallel ins/outs. 4 ohm mono cabinets are
available in 2x12's, 2x10's and 4x10’s only. Stereo 2x12, 2x10 and 4x10 cabinets are also available in 8
or 16 ohms. Contact me for multiple impedance wiring and switching,
which is available at slightly extra cost. |
| Cabinets sold with speakers come standard with solderless
terminals for ease of speaker swapping. If you would prefer the wiring
soldered directly to the speaker terminals, just ask. |
| Cabinets sold speakerless come
with solderless terminals attached, all speaker mounting hardware, and detailed
installation instructions. |
Extra Hardware
| Removable casters and recessed side handles are available
at additional cost.

| Extra back panel screws and
finish washers are always included with every cabinet, as they tend to get lost
easily when swapping the removable panel in and out.
